The Client
The Chief of Staff’s office in the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense. This office serves as the focal point for coordination of organization-wide management and administrative matters. It also is responsible for supporting security, management, administration, and Defense Intelligence Mission Assurance issues.
Client Challenge
The client faced challenges accessing and managing information workflows, records, and electronic resources efficiently. The client needed improved digital integration across business processes, knowledge management (KM) policies and procedures, and records and information management (RIM) practices to enhance organizational performance and comply with federal standards. The client turned to Rockwood for our innovative approach and hands-on digital integration support.

Rockwood executed the following approach:
Analyzed challenges with KM/RIM policies, memorandums, and directives and provided recommendations for technology modernization and more effective utilization of existing tools to increase workforce productivity and readiness.
Supported the client in migrating to DoD MS365, resulting in an improved digital platform that aligns employee resources, business processes, and approval workflows.
Created innovative PowerBI dashboards and other Microsoft 365 solutions, increasing data transparency and accuracy and enabling leadership to prioritize critical vacancies, make faster hiring decisions, and decrease hiring time.
Automated mission-critical business processes using artificial intelligence.
Trained leadership and the client workforce to apply all new tools, processes, and best practices to real-world functions
Results
