Patricia Koopersmith

As Rockwood Company’s founder and CEO, Patricia Koopersmith drives the organization’s strategic direction, manages its business operations, and empowers Rockwood’s project teams to deliver results for clients through exceptional service, bold ideas, and a get-it-done attitude. Patricia established Rockwood in 2014 to provide federal leaders with flexible, sustainable strategies for transforming their organizations. Prior to founding Rockwood, Patricia spent 20 years solving complex problems and leading change programs across the national security community. Patricia has dedicated her career to helping clients envision and achieve a transformed future when shrinking budgets and the status quo make change seem impossible. Patricia graduated with honors from Vanderbilt University with a degree in Human and Organizational Development and with honors from Georgetown University McDonough School of Business with an MBA. She has received several awards both from her clients and from her industry to recognize her leadership and impact.
Julie Smith
Director of growth
Julie Smith joined Rockwood in 2016 and has extensive experience supporting national security clients on some of the most complex and critical challenges. As Director of Growth, she is responsible for developing and executing Rockwood’s business development strategies and helping clients understand the art of the possible and develop approaches to achieve organizational goals. Julie holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science and Business from Washington University in St. Louis and an MBA from the University of Maryland. Julie is an executive member of “Leadership Arlington” and a Council Member on The Women in Leadership Executive Program at George Washington University.
