As Rockwood Company’s founder and CEO, Patricia Koopersmith drives the organization’s strategic direction, manages its business operations, and empowers Rockwood’s project teams to deliver results for clients through exceptional service, bold ideas, and a get-it-done attitude. After 20 years solving complex problems and leading change programs across the national security community, Patricia established Rockwood in 2014 to provide federal leaders with flexible, efficient, and sustainable strategies for transforming their organizations.
Patricia graduated with honors from Vanderbilt University with a degree in Human and Organizational Development and with honors from Georgetown University McDonough School of Business with an MBA. She has received several awards both from her clients and industry to recognize her leadership and impact.
Paige Douglass
Director of Consulting
As Rockwood’s Director of Consulting, Paige Douglass drives project success by ensuring clients achieve their goals on time and with exceptional results. With over 20 years of experience in transforming federal organizations and scaling private sector companies, Paige excels at designing and implementing strategic initiatives, aligning adversarial stakeholders, managing enterprise risk, and preparing organizations for mergers and force reductions. She advises executives on anticipating insider threats, strengthening organizational culture, and enabling IT modernization. In addition to advising CEOs from startups to enterprises, Paige has partnered with extraordinary leaders across the federal sector—including SES and GO/FO in DoD, Intel, DOJ, State, DHS, GSA, and SSA—to achieve extraordinary results.
Paige holds a Bachelor’s degree from Washington and Lee University.
Julie Smith
Director of growth
Julie Smith joined Rockwood in 2016 with extensive experience supporting national security clients on some of the most complex and critical challenges. As Director of Growth, she is responsible for developing and executing Rockwood’s business development strategies and helping clients understand the art of the possible and develop approaches to achieve organizational goals.
Julie holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science and Business from Washington University in St. Louis and an MBA from the University of Maryland. Julie is an executive member of “Leadership Arlington” and a Council Member on The Women in Leadership Executive Program at George Washington University.
Andy Covert
Director of Operations
As Director of Operations, Andy Covert oversees Rockwood’s business finances, human resources, talent acquisition, contracts management, service delivery, and vendor management. With extensive experience in federal consulting, Andy has led client delivery teams, business development, and business operations. Prior to working in the federal consulting sector, Andy proudly served in the Navy for 26 years, leading large aviation organizations and deploying world-wide. He also served on the staff of the Office of the Chief of Naval Operations and the Joint Staff in the Pentagon.
Andy holds a Master’s degree in National Security and Strategic Studies from the U.S. Naval War College and a Bachelor’s degree in Nautical Science from the Maine Maritime Academy.
